I am back at full force and excited to share my latest project with Kio Kreations (flowers and styling) and Tara Etrheim Photography! This shoot also featured some delicious goodies from FudgeU (What a fun name by the way!) and was at the Arrowhead Golf Club up in the suburbs of Chicago.

The setting focuses on the flowers as well as handmade, DIY projects that you can recreate at home for the holidays or for a Christmas themed wedding. This setting is really versatile for either occasion!

I am going to share a few of my favorite photos from the shoot. I just love working with these ladies!

As always, the bouquet Kristen created is just divine. It says Christmas without screaming it with the typical Christmas greenery. I created some satin flowers and button stems for her to incorporate.

Everythign was so detailed! One of the button stems adorns the handle of the bouquet along with some ribbons and pins.

All of the deep reds are so beautiful. This centerpiece would look great at a wedding or in the center of your table on Christmas Day!

The card holder fits into the Victorian Wedding theme so well. The vintage postcards were such a great touch! There are instructions available for this project too!

The overall table scape is so rich and warm! The venue had a Christmas Tree already set up and it added a nice touch to the overall feel of the shoot.

This item is multi-purpose, which I love! It can start out by being a napkin ring on your place setting. Then, each guest (wedding or family member at Christmas dinner) can take it home and use it as a decoration on their tree!

This boutonniere may be my favorite piece Kristen created for the shoot. It just makes me smile! And against the dark red background…Love!

We sent in some bouquets back in February. It was a long wait to be able to announce this to everyone! We are so honored to be featured and with other great alternative bridal bouquet creators.

The bouquet in the magazine is the Purple Passion Bridesmaid Bouquet size. This bouquet actually sold a few weeks ago. Even though it sold, it can still be recreated. It can also be made in ANY color combination. It was one bouquet in a series of candy themed bouquets. There was a bright pink, red, citrus colors and then the purple.

The layout can be found on pages 214-215. Make sure to pick up a copy of the magazine and check out our shop!

The Tickled Pink and Black Satin Button Bouquet shares the Alice in Wonderland themed page with some amazing artists! I mean really, check out that amazing cake by Cake Nouveau! We have even worked with a bride who had a pair of the Vivienne Westwood shoes seen in the photo below!  The bouquet is a perfect fit.

It was a quick scan but I was so excited that I posted it anyway! The issue hit the shelf today, however, it was out early at Target. So I made sure I had my hands on it right away. Make sure you go and check out all of these vendors/artists and of course go pick up a copy of the magazine. It is jammed packed with amazing cakes, dresses, flowers, you name it!

I met the deadline and got three bouquets shipped overnight to LA. The bouquets I sent were the Golden Girl Button Bouquet, A Rose is a Rose Bouquet and the newly created Spring Lilac Satin and Button Bouquet.

The segment was a feature on KABC 7 in Los Angeles. It was aired two times during the morning ABC news. A slide show and the video feature are also on the KABC website. You can view the video below.

It will be another busy weekend here at RBK Creations. We have some great wedding orders to finish up and some others to start. I will leave you with a teaser of an order in the works. Have a great weekend everyone!

I snapped some better pictures of the bouquet they were interested in including (the Summer Sunset Bridesmaid Bouquet) and sent them her way. The publication was sent out the end of January and about two weeks ago I received a few copies! There are some other great Etsy Sellers included in the article! Those pinwheels are so much fun! This bouquet has received a lot of attention. I have had it on display at a few bridal shows in the area and the brightness of the colors must draw people in. It actually just sold yesterday from my shop!  The article was sweet! The title was “Who says you have to carry flowers?” Which of course is a question I bring up a lot. Don’t get me wrong, I love flowers, but at the same time I love being different and standing out from the crowd.

It is great to see all of the unique elements brides are including. I have seen some amazing things, and not just in the flower department. I am working on a few posts for the future with some truly inspiring brides and designers.

Recently, I was also contacted by my Alma Mater, South Dakota State University. At SDSU I studied Advertising. I was in the best program ever and the professors were all amazing. I have kept in touch with a few professors from SDSU over the past two years. I was really honored when I was contacted to be featured on the Ad Jacks Blog. It is nice to be recognized and especially from those who taught you a lot of what you know. I never realized how much I enjoyed the Ad program until I left and now I miss it all the time.
