Here are a few things we did get to and got photos of. The first I shared last week but the Bride bouquet had a major revision. I changed the buttons from fall shades to all ivory. I am really liking how this turned out. I liked the other but this one is much better and I think the bride will like it even more. The original bouquet is listed in the shop for sale as it was just easier to redo the bouquet than try and re-assemble.

It is a very classic look. The shades of cream and ivory are so beautiful!

There are also a lot of vintage buttons to give it that extra little touch.

So much fabric was cut out this weekend and in so many colors. I have turquoise, pink, silver, ivory, red, black, gold and even some leopard print. The only piece I got a photo of was some ivory/white/champagne organza stems. These are for a lovely bride in Australia. Hopefully the finished photos will be up on the blog next Monday.

The last photo is just a small look into a great local order we finished up. I love love love these. The couple these are for are so much fun. Can’t wait to see all of the other elements in their big day! It will be a blast for sure.

Yeah, that’s right. Legos. And that is only the start of the awesome-ness!

The first set that was finished was this great peacock theme wedding set. I love the colors together and the vintage beads are such a nice touch. The bride sent a necklace that was her grandma’s for us to incorporate into the pieces. Take a look for yourself:

There are little glass beads sewn into the felt flowers. There are also some used as the top ‘button’ on the stems. This bride did not have any bridesmaid bouquets but there were a bunch of boutonnieres and corsage.

Here is a pile of peacock boutonnieres, or would it be a flock? A school of boutonnieres? Who knows!

Working with all of the brides’ color combinations are a lot of fun. I sometimes get to do combinations that I normally wouldn’t. This next set of corsages would be a great example. The colors are gray, bamboo green and apricot orange. The fourth piece is a hair clip for the flower girl. A very unique and fun set.

I also got some boutonnieres and corsages finished up using our super sweet 3-D flower buttons. I love these things. There is a mix of blue and white and then they are wrapped in a light blue ribbon.

The last little update for the weekend is the start of a great set of accessories for a photo shoot. These items will be used for an engagement session, how cute are these!?

This is just a glimpse of this order. The garland is a mix of cream, ivory, blush, tea stain. There are also some pomanders in the mix and a lot of great vintage ribbon.

The first item is the Moss and Button Pomander. This is a great flower girl alternative or could even be used for bridesmaids. I am working on an order right now where the bridesmaids will have pomanders instead of bouquets (they will be felt pomanders). With the right wedding theme/overall feel I think it would look stunning and perfectly whimsical.

There are some great glittered leaf buttons, bright fall colors and a chocolate brown satin ribbon to finish it off. I like how the buttons pop against the moss. The final size is around 5.5 inches. I snapped a few more photos including some a little closer so you can see detail. Check them out!

The first order we finished was a great color combination for a bride in Australia. Our Australian brides have been so fun to work with! The colors are inspired by a plant called the Australian Bush. There is a pink, green and silver color incorporated into the bouquets. We also included a lot of sparkle and ‘bling’.

This is the bride’s bouquet. I love the intricate stitching on the middle flower and the rhinestone button on the bottom flower!

I also got a good start on a Satin Bouquet order. This is also a great color combination. It is red, black, gold and leopard print! Very sassy! I was able to find a great leopard print satin as well as some leopard ribbon that will be a nice accent. I was able to finish up the toss bouquet, bride bouquet and the pillow was made a couple of weeks ago. Once the order is completed, I will post those as it will definitely be a fun mix!

I added some ivory felt accent flowers into the bride bouquet.

I have been working with someone locally to create a bouquet for a photo shoot she is doing. I showed a teaser last week of her bouquet. This weekend I was able to get it finished up! I am going to meet with her tomorrow and can’t wait for her to see it in person. It is really a jewel tone dream!

It is hard to see in the small photo, but there are some great rhinestone buttons in this bouquet as well. (note to self, fix blog layout to allow larger photos!!!)

Another order I was able to start on was a fall order. There will be shades of orange, purple, ivory and other fall colors. The bridesmaids will be carrying a felt pomander that will be accented with tulle and stems of buttons. I was able to get one of them started (no tulle or buttons yet). The bride’s bouquet will be embroidered.

These are a lot of fun to make!

Lastly, I was able to start on a cherry blossom inspired wedding. For some of the pieces in her order I used these awesome 3-D buttons I have. There are shades of pink, a turquoise color and brown. She wanted the bouquet very full so we opted for a satin collar around the bouquet. The satin is a very pretty medium pink color. I should have the other pieces done soon as well. I really love these colors together!

It was such a sunny day yesterday everything looks so bright. I guess that is what you get with the 100 degree Texas sun!

I hope everyone else had a good weekend! It was definitely more productive for us as the weather was too warm to want to go outside! It is time to start another week and keep moving along on some more late summer/fall orders. Tomorrow’s post will be some info about RBK Creations. The flowers measure at about 7 inches wide and have 5 layers of embroidered felt. The ribbon hanging off is for rings, as these flower girls will be playing the part of ring bearers as well. This is a great option for the couples that don’t have a young boy or relative to be a ring bearer.

These can be created in any color. I am really liking the color that this bride has picked for her wedding. The pink and green are so sweet together and the white is a nice accent. It was a lot of fun doing the stitching on these flowers (there are two of them).

I just finished a great order. The start of this order goes all the way back to October when we did the Ft. Worth Bridal/Quinceañera Show. We met with a lot of mothers and daughers planning for their big birthday celebration. Recently, we were contacted by one of those mothers who was still very interested in a bouquet. I put a rush on the order to get her bouquet done for her professional photos. I did a few new items as well, including the guest book above. I also created a larger pillow, for the shoe ceremony (I have been learning so much about the traditions, it is a lot of fun!) and a custom photo album so she can have a matching book to keep all the photos.

I have been working with a bride in Portugal. I made a few flowergirl headbands and then two large flowers for them to carry. Instead of a ring bearer, they will be having two flower girls that will carry a ring each. I will post the photos of the flowers later this week.

I have been working with someone locally who is doing an anniversary photo shoot. She was inspired by a gorgeous wedding that used jewel tones. It is a great mix of colors! I should have more photos of the finished bouquet on next monday’s weekend update.

This is a new color combination we are working on. This is for a super sweet bride in Australia. Should also have more photos of this next week! Can’t wait to see it all come together.

This order got shipped out! Spring Green, Dark Brown and White. This order is on its way to Canada right now! Can’t wait for her to see it all.

Lastly, this order was finished recently. Another great color combination! I love the vintage feel to these colors.

I am excited to show you the photos from Emma and Brandon’s early June wedding. The orange and pink was a great accent for their outdoor wedding in Washington state. (This post is VERY picture heavy!)

The photographer for this wedding was Wilton Photography, a husband and wife team (Travis and Cari) that specializes in wedding, portrait, and commercial photography. You can also head on over to their blog and their Facebook fan page. They do some amazing work and definitely worth taking a look.

I just love the reflection in the pool, the color of the sky and how awesome this couple is.

The Girls. I love the orange and pink dresses. How cute are the flower girls?!? It looks like the weather was perfect for their day.

The bride and groom were just adorable. They look so happy. We were so honored to be a part of their wedding.

Check out that Bow Tie. That was handmade by aBeachBreeze. It fit in so well with the rest of the items!

I just adore how this turned out. I love the pomanders lining the aisle.

There were some button stems mixed in with fresh flowers. A nice, whimsical touch.

On the left is one of the magnets we made for favors. On the right, the pomanders were also used for the cocktail hour centerpieces. I love that they were able to have multi uses throughout the day.

This wedding took place just this last weekend! It was a busy RBK Creations wedding weekend! We wish you the best Emma and I hope the day was everything you hoped for and more! Now on to some photos of the bouquets/decor. Like the Key West order, we were able to create some new items and play around with the design a bit.

We made 150 custom magnets. I think they turned out very cute!

On this order, we also mixed the materials used. While the bride and bridesmaid bouquets were satin, a few other pieces were felt.
This is the toss bouquet, the two flower girl bouquets were also made in felt. Once again, I can’t get over how cute the colors are together!

This is another great item we were able to create for her wedding. (Sorry for the bad photo, it is the only one I got of the bowtie and it is with my camera phone)
She wanted a pink bow tie for her father, but was unable to find one that matched the other items in her wedding. I was able to use the same satin from the bouquets for this bow tie.
It is a real bow tie, not a clip on or a pre-tied one. The bow tie was made by one of my co-workers, Erin. She has her own shop on Etsy, check it out, aBeachBreeze

I have become a very big fan of the pomander (kissing ball). They are so cute! These pomanders were used for aisle decoration at the ceremony.
They were then used as centerpieces for the cocktail hour tables. The pink/orange pomander was used at the kid’s table. Each pomander had button stems and some fun tulle accents.

I can definitely tell that the bride was a creative person. Her ideas for her wedding were truly inspiring. I don’t think my creative brain has ever had that much to process, (which is a good thing)! I was always thinking of different elements to add or ways to create each piece. I was able to expand the RBK Creations product line which is really exciting.

All the work is done, the setup in Key West has started and the wedding takes place tomorrow. With that being said, I would like to share some of the great beach wedding items with you. The colors are definitely beach-y and I love each piece. Be prepared for tons of photos!

 Here is the Bride’s Bouquet. Look at all that beach-y button goodness! We have been calling it the Sea-Daisy bouquet. A fun mix of sea creatures, shells and a feminine touch of the ivory daisies.

I have somewhat of a love/hate relationship with these organza aisle markers. This was one of the new items I was able to make for the order. I absolutely love how they turned out but they did take quite awhile to make. It may be more of a hate relationship toward hot glue guns and not so much the organza poofs. These will be placed on the ends of the chairs, down the aisle. The organza will flow in the breeze and it will be perfect! There are also mini versions that will hang from an arch. I can’t wait to see them ‘in action’.

We kind of did a mix and matched set of bouquets for the bridal party. I love that we were able to make it all work together and be able to incorporate a little bit of everything that we do! We were able to get the colors of all materials to go together perfectly, which was on concern of getting it all to match. The 3 bridesmaids will have these felt bouquets. Which also include some great buttons. These seahorse buttons were a big hit! They ended up being the perfect color and we were able to get enough for all the pieces!

This bouquet is for the Matron of Honor. She really liked the organza used in other elements so we did an organza bouquet. The colors of everything really help pull it together!

This is a great mix of Red, Aqua and White. This aqua color is quickly becoming a favorite of mine!
