Sadly, when we get busy, the blog is usually the first thing to fall to the side! I always have the best intentions of posting and doing giveaways, features and other fun things but it doesn’t seem to happen that way. The last post was in February and it is May. I am not sure where that time went at all!
We have been working hard completing wedding orders and both working our full-time jobs (more on that tomorrow). Things with the day job are starting to slow down so I have some breathing room for a couple of months.
Not much has changed in terms of new product line but we have completed quite a few orders since February and the last update. I will share a few orders below but our Flickr page is always being updated and you can see everything we have been working on.
This was a great order for a Canada Bride. I loved the soft feel of the satin and chiffon mixed together! There are also bits of lace incorporated.
For another international bride. This bouquet had a great mix of colors, antique buttons and teapots!
A fun twist on the traditional peacock colors. We used brighter colors and a hot pink as an accent.
Boutonnieres are not new to the shop, but these super awesome fabric leaves are new! Check out Jane Joss for their custom leaf arrangements. There will be more additions to our shop using their custom leaves here in the next couple of months. It is a great project we are working on together and I can’t wait for you all to see the options available for our boutonnieres!
We have been working with a lot of pink lately! It is actually a rare color that we get to use. So I really do it up when I have the chance! I just finished this order last night. It is a whole set based on the Tickled Pink Bouquet in the shop!
We finished up this order last week! Each boutonniere/corsage had a fun button incorporated that fit each recipient’s personality. This was our favorite!
Over the past couple of months we have been doing more and more loose stems for centerpieces. I love that brides are carrying over the button theme for their entire wedding!
Guitar Boutonniere! This order will be getting its own post here soon but I had to share this photo! Brenda did such a good job on it! Real guitar strings and all!
And more pink! This was a toss bouquet. The request was pink and fun. I think this says just that.
This is the bride bouquet for the hammer boutonniere above. The colors were a lot of fun! Her bouquet had a rubber duck button (it was on the other side of the bouquet)
That is just a quick update of the past couple months of orders. It is always fun to see the bride’s personality come through in the pieces that they order. Coming up in the next couple of months we have more pink (yay!), more peacock inspired bouquets and something made out of clay (12 somethings to be exact). You will have to wait and see all of the great pieces we will be creating.
